Applications

ASKO Wire Rod Mill Knives crop head and tail ends, separate bars, and cut to length. They are used in both hot and cold shearing applications, with or without the application of coolant. They operate at rolling temperatures and down to ambient.

Grades

ASKO knives for wire rod mill applications are manufactured to suit each application. They are available in a range of standard and proprietary chemistries suitable for either hot or cold work. They are produced from tool steels and super alloys. They deliver the correct blend of toughness, shock resistance, and edge holding characteristics required for each application.

ASKO produces wire rod mill knives to mill builder designs, user modified designs, and in special situations can offer design advice for improved performance.
